Facial Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture can be your effective, safe, non-invasive alternative to some of the more toxic and invasive anti-aging techniques including injections and fillers. Facial acupuncture promotes circulation and blood flow to the face which helps the production of collagen and elastin.
By breaking the skin barrier you create a “micro-trauma” which triggers the body’s natural healing response. It then sends red and white blood cells to the area. as well as a protein to the area to repair the “injury,” this protein is called collagen. The good news is, YES, you can make collagen, the body just needs a little assistance from tiny facial needles.
In addition, acupuncture points will also be used on the body to complete the balancing of energy and to help slow the aging process by simultaneously treating systemic underlying conditions. This results in an overall rejuvenating effect of face, body, mind and spirit. Celluma is an LED (Light Emitting Diode) phototherapy device approved by the FDA to treat acne, wrinkles, anti-aging and pain conditions. Phototherapy is the application of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits. The energy is used to improve cellular performance. Phototherapy is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties and has a variety of applications across many medical fields. Research has shown that phototherapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, increase the production of collagen and elastin, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity and reduce and ease muscle strain and joint pains.
Used in conjunction with facial acupuncture treatments, patients are noticing faster and longer lasting results. To achieve best results, it is recommended that facial acupuncture is performed 2 times a week for 5-6 weeks, with occasional maintenance.
